Choi Seung-ho

Choi Seungho ( born September 1, 1954 in Chuncheon, Gangwon -do) is a South Korean poet.

Life

Choi Seungho studied at the Chungcheon National University of Education, and worked after graduating in 1975 in the Gangwon Province as a teacher. In 1975 he published for the first time with Vivaldi in the literary journal " Hyundaesihak " ( Modern Poetry Theory ) ". When he received in the 1980s for his book of poems blizzard warning the distinction as "Author of today," he suddenly became known as a poet. His poetry treated in a critical way the modern civilization, often he thereby creates pictures that he draws from natural phenomena. Therefore, his works of Ökolyrik be assigned.

The most famous collection of poems by Choi are blizzard warning ( 1983), The Igelsdorf (1985 ), pleasures of the worldly city (1990 ), Beichtschriften (1991 ) Gangrenous Night (1993 ), Thoughts on the Evening Primrose (1995 ), safety zone for fireflies (1995) and Snowman ( 1996). The Lion with golden mane, Dalmas silence and the soft book are prose works. Who laughed? and the strange house are picture books. Choi Seung -ho even shares the 20 years of his lyrical creativity in the initial period in which he reacted sensitively to the reality, the time in which his interest was the inner life of the people and the time before and after his fondness of the grotesque one.
