Christian Thin (* June 16, 1984 in Siegen ) is a German national volleyball player.

Career

The 2.07 m wide and 105 -pound all-rounder began his career at local TV Dressel village. For his further education he moved to the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt. There he was taken from VC Olympia Berlin under contract and played his first games in the first division.

There was a short stage in evivo Düren, before a serious knee injury forced a longer break. On the recommendation of the German national coach Stelian Moculescu who knew Slim from over 60 youth and junior internationals, in 2005 he moved to the Italian first division Copra Piacenza, with whom he achieved victory in the European Top Teams Cup 2006.

Since 2006 Thin is used in the German national volleyball team.

After four years in the Italian league Christian Thin returned back to the 2009 Volleyball Bundesliga evivo Düren. From the Jury of Volleyball magazine, he was voted " Most Valuable Player " and the best offensive player of the Bundesliga season 2009/10. 2011 Christian joined Thin to Generali Haching and was here 2012 German Vice Champion. In addition, Slim was honored as MVP ( Most Valuable Player ) of the 2011/12 season. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he reached the fifth place. 2013, with Haching DVV Cup winner was. Then moved Thin to league rivals VfB Friedrichshafen.
