Christian Günther I, Count of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen

Christian Günther I of Schwarzburg- Sondershausen ( born May 11, 1578 Special Hausen, † November 25, 1642 in Arnstadt ) reigned since 1599 as Count of Schwarzburg- Sondershausen.

Life

Count Christian Günther I was the youngest son of Count Johann Günther I of Schwarzburg- Sondershausen (1532-1586) and his wife Countess Anna (1539-1579), daughter of Count Anton I. von Oldenburg- Delmenhorst.

When his father died, he and his brothers were still a minor and they were under the guardianship of their uncle, Count John VII (1540-1603) and Anton II (1550-1619) of Oldenburg, and later they ruled jointly. In 1593 they fell by the inheritance agreement of 1433, the county honing stone, of them but after a long dispute, but little was given.

In the Thirty Years' War, the county had, especially Arnstadt and environment, to suffer through billeting and other burdens of war on the most terrible. However, the brothers tried doing their best to alleviate the dread hereafter.

In special Hausen brothers could grow the north wing of the Royal Palace.

Count Christian Günther I had since 15 (June / November ) 1612 Anna Sibylle ( 1584-1623 ), daughter of Count Albrecht VII of Schwarzburg- Rudolstadt, married and had with her the following children:
