Christian Wilberg

Christian Wilberg ( born November 20, 1839 in Mountain Havel, † June 3, 1882 in Paris) was a German painter.

Life

Wilberg was there until 1861 worked as a house painter, then entered the studio of the landscape painter Eduard Pape in Berlin, after one and a half years in the the decorative painter Paul Gropius there, where he notably the study of perspective and architecture devoted himself, and trained since 1870 Oswald Achenbach in Dusseldorf, on study trips in Northern Germany and by a two-year stay in Italy for architectural and landscape painter.

He settled in Berlin, where he quickly ( St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Cappella Palatina in Palermo) went through a series of interior views of Italian churches a name.
