Christopher Evan Welch

Christopher Evan Welch ( born September 28, 1965 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia; † December 2, 2013 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

Career

Christopher Evan Welch received his first Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Dallas and then his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Washington. He made his first acting experiences in the early 1990s in Seattle and in New York on Off-Broadway, where he won an Obie Award last stop for his role as Harold Mitchell in the piece longing.

In 1999 he turned to television and appeared as a guest performer in television series such as Third Watch - use the limit, Practice - Lawyers, Criminal Intent - Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Whoopi and in the TV movie Hamlet. First major film roles he played in the movies The Stepford Wives, Keane and The Interpreter 2004 and 2005. In 2006 he portrayed in Lasse Hallstrom film drama The Hoax Albert Vander Kamp, before he could be heard in Woody Allen's comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona as leading through the film narrators.

Around 2010 he worked in Whatever Works - Love yourself who can again with Woody Allen and has appeared in guest roles in various series, including Law & Order, Nurse Jackie and The Good Wife. During the same period he received a starring role as Grant Test in AMC's Rubicon, which was however canceled after one season and 13 episodes. Then he was seen in 2012 in supporting roles in the two Dramas The Master and Lincoln. One of his last roles played Welch in the tenth episode of the crime series Golden Boy and next to Tina Fey and Paul Rudd in the romantic comedy Admission. Shortly before his death, he stood for the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley on camera

He died on December 2, 2013 at the age of 48 years in California's Los Angeles from cancer. He left behind his wife and a daughter.
