Christopher Gunning
Christopher Gunning, [ ˌ t ʰ krɪs əfə ɡʌnɪŋ ] (* August 5, 1944 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England ) is a British film and television composer who is also known for his orchestral and concert works.
Life and work
Christopher Gunning studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where, among others, Edmund Rubbra and Richard Rodney Bennett were among his tutors, musicology.
Gunning's compositions for film and television have been awarded in the past frequently: He received the 2008 BAFTA Award for Best Original Score for his work on the soundtrack of the film La vie en rose ( original title: La Môme ), three other awards for his work to the music of the television programs Agatha Christie's Poirot and Porterhouse Blue and the adaptation of the novel Middlemarch. His prices also include three Ivor Novello Awards, he for his music for the television mini-series, Rebecca, who is named after the novel by Daphne du Maurier, the thriller Under Suspicion ( Original title: Under Suspicion ) and the film drama Firelight ( original Title: Firelight ) received.

The lobster was released by the British record label Meridian Records, the Piano Concerto ( in the original: Piano Concerto ), the Symphony No. 1 (Original title: . Symphony No. 1) and the tower ( in the original: Storm ) are distributed by Albany Records.
His most recent works include concertos for oboe and clarinet, the CD skylines and which together with the Concerto for Oboe and String Orchestra ( original title: Concerto for Oboe and String Orchestra ) published under the label Chandos Records 3rd and 4th Symphony (Original Title: Symphony No. 3 and Symphony No.. 4), which earned the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Recently Gunning's 5th Symphony (. Originally: Symphony No. 5) was added under his musical direction by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
