The Chrudimka is a left tributary of the Elbe river in the Czech Republic.

Course

The Chrudimka, called in old writings as Kamenice or Ohebka, rises in the north of the Saarer mountains. Its main source is located in 700 m at the northern foot of the hill U Oběšeného ( 737 m) between Svratouch, Filipov, Paseky and Chlumětín. A second source is located between Filipov, Ovčín and Dědová. After the union of the two source streams the Chrudimka flows through on their way west Kameničky and is jammed between Hamry and Studnice in the dam Hamry. Below flows the Chrudimka by Hlinsko and crosses the Iron Mountains in numerous river bends to the northwest. Riverside are the places Vítanov, highlands, Trhová Kamenice, Horni Bradlo and Klokočov. Thereafter, the river winds in Engtälern into the mountains. In Seč it is jammed in the reservoirs Seč I and II. The river carries on Bojanovský and Křižanovice first to the east and turns in Nasavrky northward, where he ( tabule Chrudimská ) about Svídnice and Lukavice at Slatiňany from the Iron Mountains in the Chrudim tableland flows.
