Nasavrky (Chrudim District)

Nasavrky ( German Nassaberg ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It is located 12 kilometers northwest of Hlinsko and belongs to Okres Chrudim.

Geography

Nasavrky is located on the right side above the narrow valley of the Chrudimka in the northeast of Iron Mountain at the foot of Ochoz (520 m). To the northwest lies the dam Křižanovice.

Neighboring towns are Práčov in the north, Drahotice in the northeast, and Ochoz Brezovec in the east, and Kvítek Nová Ves in the southeast, Kameničky in the south, Hodonín in the southwest, and Vedralka České Lhotice in the west and Hradiště in the northwest.

History

Nasavrky was the transition from the 12th to the 13th century during the colonization of the Iron Mountains. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1318 as the seat of Vladiken Žehart Nasavrky. In the middle of the 14th century by Charles IV gave the goods to his friend Johann Očko of Wlašim. Under the Olomouc Bishop Nasavrky in 1360 raised to the town and got the privilege to hold a weekly market.

Once it became owners of 1593 Nasavrky Karel Zaruba of Hustířan, he had to pay off the 1600 festivities and replace it with a two-story castle. After the Battle of White Mountain, the Zaruba went into exile in 1623 and bought the Imperial Lieutenant Francois de Couriers rule Nasavrky. In 1680, the area was ravaged by a plague epidemic. 1701 acquired Franz Josef Schonfeld rule Nassaberg. Through marriage was the possession in 1737 Johann Adam von Auersperg over. The Prince of Auersperg united the gentry Nassaberg, Sech and Schleb. After Johann Adam was succeeded by his son Charles and his brother Vincent. 1839 was built next to the castle a large office building. After the replacement of patrimonial Nassaberg was in the middle of the 19th century as the seat of the district court. At the beginning of the 20th century Nasavrky was the seat of a district team and the center of the northern iron mountains.

The status of the municipality was not renewed after the Second World War and the seat of the court was lost. Since 1971 takes place in the castle every year the art exhibition " Nasavrcká paleta " instead. Since the September 27, 2008 Nasavrky is a city.

The municipality consists of the villages Nasavrky Brezovec ( Brüsau ) Drahotice ( Drahotitz ) Libáň ( Liban ), Nasavrky ( Nassaberg ), Nová Ves ( Neudorf ), Obořice ( Wobotschitz ) Ochoz ( Wochos ) and Podlíšťany ( Podlischtan ).

  • Church of St. Giles, which was built in the late 13th century since 1350 assignable house of God and in the 18th century in Baroque style
  • Nasavrky Castle built around 1600. The renovated between 1995 and 1997 building is an interactive exhibition about the Celts. It also serves as a cultural center.
