Kladno (Chrudim District)

Kladno is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northeast of Hlinsko and belongs to Okres Chrudim.

Geography

Kladno is located north of Saarer mountains in the source basin of the creek Dolský Potok ( Grundbach ). To the west rises the Čertovina ( 652 m). At the northern end of the village the main road I/34 between Hlinsko and Polička which also forms the northern border of the nature reserve Zdarske Hills runs. Two kilometers north runs the railway line Svitavy - Žďárec u Skutče in Vojtěchov it is the same station.

Neighboring towns are Vojtěchov and Pokřikov in the north, and Hesiny Otradov in the northeast, and Oldřiš Krouna in the east, in the southeast Humperky, Dědová in the south, and Jenikov Blatno the southwest, Pláňavy, Hlinsko and Medkovy Kopce in the west and Holetín in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of belonging to the reign Richburg place was 1392nd Kladno is a homestead village, which was built in the valley of the basic stream. Since 1485 the city was the seat of a judge.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kladno made ​​1850 a municipality in the administrative district of Chrudim. At the time, the place of 80 houses and had about 350 inhabitants. 1888 was the village school. The water power of the Dolský creek was availed of a grist mill and a board mill. Besides agriculture, the domestic weaving malnourished residents. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Hlinsko and since 1961 it belongs again to Okres Chrudim.
