CICM Missionaries

The Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Latin: Congregation immaculati Cordis Mariae; religious symbol: CICM ) is a Roman Catholic religious men.

The Order was founded in 1862 in Scheut, a suburb of Brussels, Belgium by the Belgian diocesan priests Theophiel Verbist. It was July 20, 1900 by Pope Leo XIII. ecclesiastically recognized. The official religious orders designation refers to the spirituality of this community, which focuses on the special devotion to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary stands.

First, the missionary work of the Empire of China was the focus of missionary interests on the part of the order's founder, but the missionary mandate expanded rapidly to the whole world. Currently, more than 1000 priests and brother monks in 23 countries across all continents.
