Cidlina

The Cidlina ( German Zidlina ) is one of the major rivers in Okres Jičín ( Kralovehradecky kraj, Czech Republic).

The river rises with several source fluxes on the western slopes of Mount Tabor. The longest river has its source in the fields of Kosov at the altitude of 550 m above sea level However, it is better known inflow which feeds directly on Mount Tabor swells (535 m above sea level ) and the small lake below the mountain with water.

In the beginning, the water flows through hilly landscapes of the Giant Mountains, surrounded by woods. The first place that flows through the Cidlina, is Pekloves. Here are a few villages before the water leaves the mountains and through Jičín continues its travel before it reaches the level of Kolin. In its relatively long path of river water for a few ponds and artificial water collection tanks, such as the rybnik 1492 by Stepan Netolický landscaped, 300 -acre Žehuňský. In Libněves the Sansky branches kanál, who today joins the Mrlina and has been created to feed the fish pond Blato in the 15th century.

The total length of the flow is 89.7 kilometers. Far from the village Libice nad Cidlinou it opens at an altitude of 187 m asl into the Elbe.
