Campbelltown is bordered to the west by the city center of Adelaide. The area includes eight districts: Athelstone, Campbelltown, Hectorville, Magill, Newton, Paradise, Rostrevor and Tranmere. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the Rostrevor area.

Management

The Burnside City Council has 14 members. Nine Councillor elected by the residents of the five Wards ( two each from Newton, Gorge, Hectorville and Woodforde, one from the River Ward). These five districts are set independently of the districts. Four other council members and the chairman and Mayor ( mayor) are elected by all residents of the City.
