Playford is part of the metropolis of Adelaide, capital of South Australia. The area is 346 km ² and has about 70,000 inhabitants.

Playford is located north of Adelaide about 25 km north of the city center. The area includes 34 districts: Andrews Farm, Angle Vale, Bibaringa, Blake View, Buckland Park, Craigmore, Davoren Park, Elizabeth, Elizabeth Downs, Elizabeth East, Elizabeth Grove, Elizabeth North, Elizabeth Park, Elizabeth South, Elizabeth Vale, Elizabeth West, Evanston Park, Gould Creek, Hillbank, Humbug Scrub, Macdonald Park, Munno Para, Munno Para Downs, Munno Para West, One Tree Hill, Penfield, Penfield Gardens, Sampson Flat, Smithfield, Smithfield Plains, Uleybury, Virginia, Waterloo Corner and Yattalunga. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the Elizabeth neighborhood in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Playford City Council has 16 members, 15 are elected Councillor of the inhabitants of the six wards ( three each from Ward 1, 2 and 4, two each from Ward 3, 5 and 6). These six districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
