City of Prospect

- 34.883333333333138.6Koordinaten: 34 ° 53 ' S, 138 ° 36' O The City of Prospect is a Local Government Area ( LGA) in the Australian state of South Australia. Prospect is part of the metropolis of Adelaide, capital of South Australia. The area is 8 km ² and has about 19,000 inhabitants.

Prospect is bordered to the south by the city center of Adelaide. The area includes nine neighborhoods: Broadview, Collinswood, Fitzroy, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Prospect, Ovingham, Sefton Park and Thorngate. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the Prospect neighborhood in the center of the LGA.

Management

The Prospect City Council has 11 members, 10 are elected Councillor of the residents of the five Wards ( two each from Fitzroy, Highbury, Kingston, Nailsworth and St John Woodward ). These five districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the City.
