CitySpire Center

The CitySpire Center is a 75 - story building in the 56th West Street, 6 to 7 Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was completed in 1987 with a height of 248 meters. Owner of the building since December 2004, Tishman Speyer Properties. Architect of the skyscraper was Helmut Jahn. The construction work was carried out by the New York construction company Tishman Construction.

As the CitySpire Center was completed, it was the second tallest concrete building in the world. Currently (as of 2014) is the CitySpire Center the 14- tallest building in New York. It is also New York's tallest mixed-use building under operation and high-rise.

The bottom 23 floors of the building to be used commercially. The remaining upper floors are used as luxury apartments. Of these apartments afford a good view of the lying in close proximity to Central Park. Overall, the tower about 75 storeys above ground features.

Particularly noteworthy is the creatively designed dome at the top of the building, which is illuminated at night with white light.

The building is located near the Carnegie Hall Tower and Metropolitan Tower. This group of modern skyscrapers is one of the most interesting compilations in the city. Since the year 2013 is here with the 306 meter high One57 yet another skyscraper added, the height technically stands out from the buildings in the vicinity.
