Claude Aubriet

Claude Aubriet (* 1665 in Châlons -sur- Marne, Champagne, France, † December 3, 1742 in Paris) was a French naturalist painter and botanist.

He worked in Paris in the Jardin des Plantes. Claude Aubriet accompanied the French botanist and physician Joseph Pitton de Tournefort and the German physician Andreas von Gundelsheimer in the years 1700 to record the results of research into drawings to 1702 in the Middle East (including Crete, Turkey and Georgia ).
