Coat of arms of New South Wales
The coat of arms of New South Wales, a state of Australia, is quartered by a continuous red white margined cross in blue.
In the first and fourth field is a hanging golden fleece and the other two fields, a golden sheaf of corn. The cross arms are each filled with an eight -pointed gold star in the center and with a running hersehenden golden lion.
About the shield floats a blue and white crest with half a golden faceless sun with red firing at the tips of golden rays.
Plate holder the right is a golden lion guardant, langued and opposite him a ansehendes golden kangaroo.
Under the shield a white ribbon with red border stripes and the words in black capital letters " ORTA recens QUAM PURA NITES ".
