Codex Seidelianus II

The Codex Seidelianus II ( Gregory -Aland no He or 013; von Soden ε87 ) is a Greek manuscript of the four Gospels, which is dated to the 9th century. It consists of the four Gospels on 194 sheets ( 22 x 18 cm ), but the Codex is missing some parts of the Gospels. The Codex is kept in the University of Hamburg (code 91) and at Trinity College, Cambridge (B XVII. 20:21).

Description

The manuscript contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι that Ammonianischen sections (but not the Eusebischen canon ). In addition, can be found in the manuscript Accented characters and accents, these are not, however, set exactly.

The Greek text of Codex represents the Byzantine text and the category V is assigned.

The manuscript was brought from the East by Andreas Seidel at the beginning of the 17th century together with the Codex Seidelianus I. Maturin Veyssière de La Croze bought it at the same time as Seidelianus I. Since 1838, the Codex is in the University Library Hamburg (code 91), a leaf in Cambridge.

The manuscript was examined by Petersen, Richard Bentley, Samuel Prideaux Tregelles, Konstantin von Tischendorf, and Caspar René Gregory.
