Codex Tischendorfianus III

The Codex Tischendorfianus III ( Gregory -Aland no Λ or 039; von Soden ε 77 ) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament, which is dated to the 9th century.

Content

The manuscript is from the Gospel of Luke and the St John's on 157 parchment leaves. The format is 21 x 16.5 cm, the text is in two columns of 23 lines. The uncial letters are small, not nice and inclined. The letters are called Slavic uncials. Accents and alcohol asper and lenis are available.

It contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections Eusebischer canon, and lectionary markings.

History

Konstantin von Tischendorf brought this manuscript in 1853 from the East and carried them to Oxford.

The Codex is preserved in the Bodleian Library ( Auctarium T. infr 1.1) in Oxford.
