Bregmaceros atlanticus

The unicorn cod ( Bregmaceros ) are the only genus in the same family of cod -like fish ( gadiformes ). These are small, living on the coasts of tropical and subtropical seas fish.

Features

Unicorn cod from two to eleven inches long. You have two symmetrical dorsal and anal fins. The first dorsal fin ray is separately without conjunction with the dorsal fin (name ). The first rays of the ventral fins are extended in length. They have small round scales, no chin Bartel and no lateral line organ.
