Cody Garrett Runnels (* 30 June 1985 in Marietta, Georgia ) is an American professional wrestler. Runnels, who comes from a family rooted in the wrestling business, is currently under contract with WWE and appears regularly in their wrestling shows.
Rhodes ' biggest ever success is the three-time receipt of the World Tag Team title and the two-time receipt of the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Family background
Cody Runnels is the son of wrestling legend The American Dream Dusty Rhodes ( Virgil Riley Runnels Jr.). His half-brother Dustin Patrick was in the WWE known as " Goldust ", his uncle Fred Ottman was known as " Typhoon " and " Tugboat ", among others in the same promotion. Runnels was in his school days, amateur wrestler, and brought it up to the junior national champion of the U.S. state of Georgia in his weight class.

OVW
The son of a very famous wrestler of the past Runnels awarded a contract with WWE. This first built it in their development promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling ( OVW shortly ) on. In OVW Runnels formed, along with Shawn Spears ( Ronnie Arniell ) from August 2006 Tag Team. You fehdeten against Deuce and Domino. RAW and Smackdown
On 2 July 2007 Runnels debuted as Cody Rhodes on RAW in WWE. In June, he feuded with his father Dusty against Randy Orton. He then feuded against Hardcore Holly with whom he then formed a tag team. On December 10, Runnels and Holly were able to win the World Tag Team Championship Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in a special edition for the fifteen year anniversary of RAW. From the pay -per-view Night of the Champions 29 June 2008 Runnels formed as the reigning Tag Team Champion with Ted DiBiase, Jr. is a new team. He behind gang Hardcore Holly and pretended mysterious partner Di Biase 's on whose side. On 4 August 2008 Runnels and DiBiase had to hand the title to Batista and John Cena.
