Comeback Kid

Comeback Kid are an existing since 2002 hardcore punk band from Winnipeg, Canada.

History

The band was formed in 2002 by singer Scott Wade along with the future guitarist of the band, Andrew Neufeld. This was followed by Jeremy Hiebert from Andrews real band as second guitarist, and Cliff Heide and Kyle Profeta completed for the bass and the drums, the band to play fast melodic hardcore punk.

After the first appearances and the first demos of the contract followed with the Californian label Facedown Records in March 2003. On this was then the release of their first full length album " Turn it Around". Thereafter, the group was very much on tour, including terror, Throwdown and Every Time I Die.

The second album "Wake The Dead" ( Victory Records ) was recorded in late 2004. There however is no longer to hear Cliff on bass. For him, found himself with Kevin Call spare. Before the release of the album Comeback Kid 've been on tour again.

In 2006, she toured with other hardcore and metalcore bands such as Sick of it all, Madball, Walls of Jericho, Terror, under the Persistence Tour by Germany.

In 2007, bassist Kevin Call during the Never say die tour his departure from the band known. His place is now taking a Matt Keil. In January 2012, the guitarist Casey Hjelmberg left after six years the band. Stu Ross of the pop-punk band " Living with Lions " replaces him

Style

Summarized coarse oriented Comeback Kid on classic old-school hardcore punk with melodic vocals and guitar riffs, while also occasionally new- school influences are present. The overall picture as melodic band of the "old school" but that will not be affected much.

Lyrically Comeback Kid do not see themselves explicitly as a political band, but (left ) political issues play a role. Otherwise, it goes into the texts of the group all about everyday feelings, sadness and love.
