Comix 2000
Comix 2000 is a 2047 -page comic strip, on which 324 authors from 29 countries have participated. He was released at the millennium into the 21st century the Parisian publishing house L'Association.
The idea of the year 2000 bring out a held in black and white ribbon with 2000 pages comics, Anne Baraou came a few years before its publication. In the following years, the employees of L'Association first took the idea seriously, because it seemed to them impossible, however, dealt seriously with her and decided to implement it.
To make Comix 2000 International readable, suggested Lewis Trondheim and Jean -Yves Duhoo 1998 that all comics contained silent, without text, should be. Most of the participating cartoonists come from France or Belgium. In addition to subscribers from countries with a large comic tradition as Japan and the United States also took artists from countries where there is only a small comic industry, in part. The name " Comix " was chosen based on the American underground comix movement to zmachen so clear that the band is dedicating avant-garde, unconventional picture stories.
The band had a big impact. The Japanese artist Little Fish had broken his career, but decided after reading Comix in 2000 to take up the drawing comics again. His incurred in the subsequent period works were all silent.
