Constitutional Court of Lithuania

Lithuanian Constitutional Court, lit. Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinis Teismas is in Lithuania, the Constitutional Court of the Republic. As guardians of the Lithuanian Constitution, the Court has a dual role on the one hand as an independent constitutional body and the other as part of the Judicial Branch State violence in the specific area of constitutional law.

Beginning of activity was 2 August 1993.

The court consists of nine elected by the Seimas members for nine years. Re-election is excluded. The three members are appointed by the President of the Republic, the President of the Seimas and the President of the Supreme Court.
