Corentin (comics)

Corentin is a published 1946-1973 French- Belgian comic series.

Action

The young Breton Corentin runs from his violent uncle and it comes after an arduous journey in distant India. He befriends the young Indians Kim and place in Belzébuth, a gorilla, and Moloch, a tiger, two faithful companions. In addition, he meets the beautiful Princess Sat - Skya. In the mysterious Orient they come several times in dangerous situations. The third episode portrays an adventure of his homonymous grandson in the Wild West.

Background

Paul Cuvelier was the signatory of the adventure series. The first two stories that were running in the washing technique, Jacques Van Melkebeke wrote. Other copywriters were Albert Weinberg, Greg and Jacques Acar. Jean Van Hamme provided the idea for the last two episodes. The series appeared in 1946-1973 in the Belgian and 1948 to 1973 in the French edition of Tintin. Le Lombard began in 1950 with the albums and edition published in 2010 a complete edition. In German-speaking CCH issued the first and Salleck the third volume.
