Cornigliano
Cornigliano is a strong industrial affair district in the western area ( Ponente ) of the Italian port city of Genoa. The district lies between the two districts Sampierdarena and Sestri Ponente.
Administratively Cornigliano part of the Medio Ponente Munizip VI. The districts of the neighborhood itself are Cornigliano and campuses, which together reach a population of 15,282.
Traffic
Cornigliano is crossed by the national road 1 ( Strada Statale ), the Via Aurelia. In the northern part of the district the A10 motorway starts at the Polcevera viaduct with the main connection Genoa - Ventimiglia, which can be reached via the motorway feeder airport in Genoa Sestri Ponente.
On the railways the district is served by the somewhat dilapidated railway station on the railway line between Ventimiglia and Genoa. Currently, plans for demolition this station and a new building in east area are situated ( located closer to the present-day city district center ) discusses.
In the forecourt of the station is a stop of the AMT Volabusses, a shuttle service between the central Piazza Principe station and the airport Cristoforo Colombo.
