Coronilla

Blue Green Kronwicke ( Coronilla valentina glauca var )

The Plebejus ( Coronilla, Syn: .. Artrolobium Desv, Bonaveria Scop ) constitute a genus in the subfamily of the Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) within the legume family ( Fabaceae ).

Description

Species of the genus Plebejus are shrubs or perennial, rarely annual, herbaceous plants. The sedentary or short- stalked leaves are pinnate. Rare (in the Scorpion Kronwicke ( Coronilla scorpiodes ) is just one leaflets available. The leaves are entire, rounded or emarginate, up almost heart-shaped bespitzt and often blue-green color. The stipules are free or fused.

The butterfly-shaped flowers grow in nodding significantly stalked umbels; the cup is weitglockig, more or less two-lipped. Lateral sepals are occupied with short triangular teeth. The petals are nailed long and yellow, rarely white. The boat is severely bent, the uppermost stamen is always free. The seated legumes are mehrsamig, straight or slightly curved and disintegrate after maturity in seeded limbs. The spray type is a pumping mechanism. The club-shaped swollen filaments form a piston press out the pollen, if boat and wings are burdened by an insect, from the flower.

Dissemination

Plebejus are spread across Europe, western Asia and northeastern Africa. The diversity center is located in Southern Europe, that is, here are the most native species.

System

Per Lassen 1989 subtribes Coronillinae processed while the genera Coronilla, Hippocrepis and Securigera reorganized and distinguished from one another. The Strauchkronwicke ( Coronilla emerus L.) in the genus Hippocrepis as Hippocrepis emerus (L.) Lassen and the Colorful Kronwicke ( Coronilla varia L.) in the genus Securigera as Securigera varia ( L.) was found Let for example ..

After processing remain in the genus Plebejus nine species, which are in detail:

  • Mountain Kronwicke ( Coronilla coronata L., Syn: Coronilla montana Jacq. )
  • Bins -like Kronwicke ( Coronilla juncea L.)
  • Small Kronwicke ( Coronilla minima L., Syn: Coronilla fruticans Jord. ): Coronilla minima subsp. lotoides ( WDJ Koch) Nyman ( Syn: Coronilla lotoides WDJKoch, Coronilla minima var australis Gren & Godr. . )
  • Coronilla minima subsp. minima
  • Vaginal Kronwicke ( Coronilla vaginalis Lam, Syn. Artrolobium vaginalis ( Lam.) Desv. )
  • Valencia Kronwicke or Valance Shrub Kronwicke ( Coronilla valentina L.): Blue Green Kronwicke ( Coronilla valentina subsp glauca (L.) Batt, Syn: .. Coronilla argentea L., Coronilla glauca L.)
  • Coronilla valentina subsp. pentaphylla ( Desf. ) Batt. (Syn.: C. pentaphylla Desf. )
  • Coronilla valentina subsp. valentina

Etymology

Coronilla is the diminutive to span corona ( = the crown) so that means crown, by the beautiful yellow, like the teeth of a crown to umbels united, single flowers.
