Courpière

Courpière is a commune in the Puy -de- Dôme in the Auvergne region. The town has 4401 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) to 31.82 square kilometers. The eponymous canton is located in the Arrondissement of Thiers.

Geographical location

The village is located about 45 kilometers from Clermont- Ferrand located on the River Dore. In the north Courpière borders Lezoux, to the south Montbrison, on the west by Billom and on the east by the mountain massif Monts du Forez. The municipality is located in the Regional Natural Park Livradois -Forez.

Courpière is situated approximately 15 km from the A72 between Clermont -Ferrand and Saint- Étienne and it has direct connections with a country road in the direction of Vichy.
