Cover Me is a song by Bruce Springsteen from 1984, which was written by him and Steven Van Zandt, Jon Landau and Chuck Plotkin.

History

The song is one of the first recorded songs of the album Born in the USA and was the second song of the album, which was released as a single. Originally Bruce Springsteen wanted to give it to Donna Summer, but instead he gave her the song Protection, but decided to Springsteen's manager Jon Landau that the song should go towards rock hard. The publication took place on 31 July 1984.
