Cowra Shire

Cowra is located in the Central West region about 200 km north of the Australian capital Canberra and 330 km west of the city of Sydney. The area includes 40 districts and towns, including Billimari, Cowra, Darby Falls, Gooloogong, Morongla, Mount McDonald, Noonbinna, Wattamondara, Woodstock and parts of Canowindra, Koorawatha and Wyangala. The seat of the Shire Council is located in Cowra, where about 8,400 inhabitants.

In Canowindra is held annually a balloon festival, the " Marti ¹ s Balloon Fiesta ," come to the more than 20,000 visitors. It is one of the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. The village is located about 33 km north of Cowra and is called " Ballooning Capital of Australia".

Management
