Cristian Leonel Ramírez Zambrano ( born August 12, 1994 Santo Domingo de los Colorados ) is an Ecuadorian footballer.
Career
Clubs
Cristian Ramírez began his career in 2008 at Club Social, Cultural y Deportivo Brasilia on 18 August 2009 and moved to first division club Independiente José Terán. In Independiente he was 28 April 2011 his professional debut in the Ecuadorian Serie A against El Nacional Quito. In August August 2011 he took part in a trial of the former German champions Borussia Dortmund. In Dortmund he was provided upon signing for the U -19 league. Because he could not convince there, he returned to Ecuador.
In January 2013 he impressed in a further trial at Fortuna Dusseldorf and signed at the end January 2013 at the Bundesliga a contract until the end of June 2016. Due to his debut at the Fortuna the tabloid Express gave him the names " Ecuadorian Bird of Paradise" and " little giant ".
Internationally
He played for Ecuador in four games at the U -17 World Cup 2011 in Mexico and the Sudamericano U17 2011 in Ecuador. In January 2013, he played with the Ecuadorian selection at the Sudamericano Sub-20 (South American U- 20 Championship ) in Argentina six games.
