Croatia women's national volleyball team

The Croatian national volleyball team of women is a selection of the best Croatian players who represents the Association Hrvatski Odbojkaski Savez in international tournaments and international matches. The team was founded in 1991 after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

History

World cup

In the only previous participation in a volleyball World Cup took Croatia 1998 sixth.

Olympic games

The Croats were in Sydney in 2000 for the first time in the Olympic tournament time and have been seventh. For Beijing 2008 they could not qualify.

European

At first participation in the European Volleyball Championship, the Croatian women lost the match for fifth place just ahead of Germany. Two years later, they reached the final against the Netherlands. In 1997 and 1999 they lost only in the finals against Russia. After a weaker tournament 2001 ( ninth ) they could not qualify in 2003. At Euro 2005, they lost the game for seventh place against former brother state of Serbia and Montenegro. At the tournament in 2007, it was enough only for 14th place.

World Cup

1995 missed the fourth Croat barely a medal at the World Cup. Four years later they were eighth.

World Grand Prix

At the World Grand Prix Croatia has not yet played.
