Culiacan, Culiacán Rosales officially, is the capital of the state of Sinaloa in Mexico with 675 773 inhabitants ( as of 2010), was established on 29 September 1531 Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán. It lies with each about 210 km equidistant from Los Mochis and Mazatlán ( about three hours by car).

Culiacan, primarily administrative, main commercial and agricultural center, offers the tourist a few attractions.

Should you spend in the university town some time, worth the cathedral from the 17th century, the Palacio Municipal ( City Hall ) in Calle Obregon & Escobedo, and the Malecon ( boardwalk ) along the rivers Tamazula and Humaya a detour.
