Cystoderma

Amianthus granules Schirmling ( Cystoderma amiantinum )

The granules shield pieces ( Cystoderma ) are a genus of fungi in the family of mushroom relatives ( Agaricaceae ).

The type species of the genus is the amianthus granules Schirmling ( Cystoderma amiantinum ).

Features

The members of the genus are small to medium sized species with typical granular, sometimes wrinkled hat surface. The granular Hutbelag formed of roundish cells is wiped off. The hat is white, pink, yellow ocher, orange brown or reddish colored wine. In contrast to the screen Lingen ( Lepiota ) the whitish to yellowish fins are always more or less grew wide at the stem, so that the hat can not be separated from the stalk without injury. Typical is also the ascending ring that has more or less the same color as the hat. The stem is booted and has a smooth top. Below the ring or ring zone he is grainy - scaly. The spore powder is white to pale cream-colored. The hat skin contains a chain-like arranged Sphäreozysten. The usually quite small spores are amyloid and carry no germ pore. In most species, no cystidia occur.

The genus Cystoderma formerly belonged to the species of the genera Ripartitella and Cystodermella. The genus was split from Harmaja in the three independent genera Cystoderma, Cystodermella and Ripartitella 2002. The genus contains species with Cystodermella inamyloiden, smooth spores. Cystidia may be present or absent. The species of the genus Ripartitella have inamyloide, thorny spores.

Ecology

The granules shield pieces are saprophytes that are not tied to any particular tree species. There are mostly temperate species that occur mostly in coniferous forests, where they can often be found in the moss layer.

Species

Typical and common species are the amianthus granules Schirmling (C. amiantinum ) and the strong -smelling granules Schirmling (C. carcharias ). The genus is widely distributed in Europe and North America. Normally, the genus in the family Agaricaceae is classified, but there are authors that they to the family of Tricholoma relatives ( Tricholomataceae ) or the crack fungus relatives Inocybaceae provide. In Central Europe, there are, depending on Artabgrenzung about 12 to 16 species.

System

The granules umbrella bodies are traditionally placed in the family mushroom relatives ( Agaricaceae ) or in the family of Schirmling relatives ( Lepiotaceae ). Bon and many other authors see the genre but because of the attitude and the slats Tramasituation hat - stem transition in the family of Tricholoma relatives ( Tricholomataceae ). In the latest classification of Knudsen and Vesterholt ( 2005), the genus in the family of the newly Schuppenwulstlingverwandten ( Squamanitaceae ) is housed.

Importance

All species are inedible.
