Cystodermella

Rust red grain Schirmling ( Cystodermella granulosa )

Cystodermella is a fungal genus of the family of mushroom relatives. The species were formerly included among the grains screen Lingen.

The type species is the rust red grain Schirmling ( Cystodermella granulosa ).

Features

The members of the genus are small to medium sized species with typical granular, sometimes wrinkled hat surface. The granular Hutbelag formed of roundish cells is wiped off. The hat is white, pink, yellow ocher, orange brown or reddish colored wine. In contrast to the screen Lingen ( Lepiota ) the whitish to yellowish fins are always more or less grew wide at the stem, so that the hat can not be separated from the stalk without injury. Also typical is the ascending ring that has more or less the same color as the hat. The stem is booted and has a smooth top. Below the ring or ring zone he is grainy - scaly. The spore powder is white to pale cream-colored. The hat skin contains a chain-like arranged Sphäreozysten. The usually quite small spores are amyloid and carry no germ pore. In most species, no cystidia occur.

Species delimitation

The species of the genus Cystodermella listed earlier together with the species from Ripartitella to the granules screen Lingen ( Cystoderma ). The latter was split from Harmaja in 2002 and confirmed in 2009 by Saar, Põldmaa & Kõljalg by phylogenetic analyzes. Cystodermella contains species with inamyloiden, smooth spores. Cystidia may be present or absent. The species of the genus Ripartitella have also inamyloide, but thorny spores.

Species

The genus includes 12 species Cystodermella, 5 of which are found in Europe or expected.

Importance

All species are inedible.
