Czerwono-Czarni

Czerwono - Czarni ( The Red and the Black ) was a Polish musical group and one of the pioneers of beat music in Poland.

It was established in 1960 in Gdańsk, at the initiative of Franciszek Walicki, the father of Polish rock music. The founding members belonged Michaj Burano (vocals), Marek Tarnawski (drums), Zbigniew Garsen ( piano ), Andrzej Jordan ( bass), Zbigniew Podgajny (keyboards), Piotr Puławski (guitar), Seweryn Krajewski and Henryk Zomerski (both bass). There were singers who were to large intra- Polish Stars: Helena Majdaniec, Wojciech Gassowski, Józef Ledecki, Karin Stanek, Maciej and Katarzyna Sobczyk Kossowski ( 1945-2010 ). The band played at the Sopot Festival 1962 and 1963 at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. There followed a series of tours abroad in Czechoslovakia, East Germany, the USA and Canada. Height of her career was undoubtedly the 1967 appearance as the opening act for the Rolling Stones in the Warsaw Palace of Culture Polish standards. Throughout its existence five LP's and numerous singles were released. On the unusual ones was published in 1968 beat Pan exhibition przyjacielem moim (The Lord is my friend ). In 1976, the band broke up.

Czerwono - Czarni was of their creation establishes a rock and roll band that focused in the course of the 1960s, more and more short hit songs. Their song Apron Strings was the first rock and roll song of a Polish band ever.
