Daequan Cook

Daequan Cook ( born April 28, 1987 in Dayton ( Ohio)) is an American basketball player and played in the North American professional league NBA. He ran last in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls at shooting guard. On 28 June 2007 Cook was drafted in the first round on 21 out of the Philadelphia 76ers. He was getraded directly for Jason Smith to the Miami Heat. 2013 Cook went to Europe to BK Budiwelnyk Kiev. On 30 January 2014, the change from Kiev to Germany was added to the Walter Tigers Tübingen known where he will play until the end of the season.

High School

Daequan Cook attended Dunbar High School in Dayton. He led his high school already as a junior to the Ohio Division II semifinals, where the team but against the eventual champion, the Upper Sandusky High School lost. As Senior Cook then reached very good statistics of 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game and won with the Dunbar High School to the Ohio Division II title result, he was 2006 for the McDonald 's All- American Game nominated. He played there for the East and scored 17 points and hit it 5 of 9 three experiments.

He also played along with Greg Oden and Mike Conley in the Spiece Indy Heat AAU High School team. Cook was the top scorer at the 2004 Big Time event in Las Vegas. His team won the title unbeaten.

College

The Ohio State University Cook scored 10.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals in 20.4 minutes per game. On April 20, he signed up with Greg Oden and Mike Conley for the NBA Draft 2007.

NBA and Europe

In his rookie season, he scored 8.2 points for the Miami Heat, ( end of February ) but was initially sent to the NBA D -League later. On March 8, he came back already, and on March 10 he reached his former Career High of 23 points. His current record is 24 points, which he achieved on 15 January 2009 against the Milwaukee Bucks. He met his first six attempts - all three points throws. His nickname " Bail Bondsman " he received through the Turn of very important and game-winning throws.

On 15 February 2009, he won the NBA Three- Point Shootout, defeating defending champion Jason Kapono and the other contender Mike Bibby and Rashard Lewis.

From the season 2010/2011 he ran for the Oklahoma City Thunder and supported their backcourt. Shortly before the beginning of the season 2012/2013 Cook was transferred from the Thunder to the Houston Rockets, where he was discharged in January 2013. Shortly thereafter, it took the Chicago Bulls under contract.

On January 30, 2014 it was announced that Cook will play until the end of the season for the Walter Tigers Tübingen. Previously, he was already active for BK Budiwelnyk from Kiev in the Ukraine. There his contract was terminated in January.
