Dafne Schippers

Dafne Schippers ( born June 15, 1992, Utrecht) is a Dutch athlete.

Sporting career

Dafne Schippers 2009 occupied the fourth place in the heptathlon at the European Junior Championships in Novi Sad. In 2010 she won at the World Junior Championships in Moncton gold in the heptathlon and bronze in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. The following year she won at the European Junior Championships in Tallinn in the heptathlon.

In 2012 she improved in multi- fight meeting Götzis their best performance in the heptathlon by 188 points to 6360 points and qualified for the Olympic Games in London. At the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki she went to not heptathlon but in the sprint. She finished fifth in the 200 - meter race and won the sprint relay silver medal behind the German team. In the 2012 Olympics she won with 6324 points and was ranked twelfth in the heptathlon. In December, she was voted the Dutch athlete of the year.

2013 won Schippers at the World Championships in Moscow in third place in the heptathlon.
