Dagbani is the language of the Dagomba in Ghana, which is spoken by about 800,000 (2004 SIL) residents.
They live mainly northeast to Tamale to the area of distribution of Yendi. Dagbani is also a trade language.
Alternative names are Dagbane, Dagomba and Dagbamba. A dialect of Dagbani is Nanuni ( Nanumba ). It consists of 95 % compliance with Mampruli to 90 % with Talni and to 89% with Kusaal.
