Dagbladet

Dagbladet (literally: the daily paper ) is a Norwegian newspaper that was founded in 1869 in Oslo and still appears there.

Editor in chief is Lars Helle. Since 1983, the newspaper is printed in tabloid format. She reached in 2007 an average circulation of 135 611 copies ( 2004 or 183 092 copies). After the edition Dagbladet is measured according to VG and Aftenposten the third largest newspaper in the country. By number of readers is measured Dagbladet with 780 000 daily readers (January 2006) and actually the second largest sheet of Norway

Dagbladet has traditionally been a radical liberal organ and appears to Bokmål. Although both newspapers in different areas have a different profile, VG is the main competitor to Dagbladet.

In May 2008, Dagbladet moved its editorial offices of the Akersgata 49 in the former storage building Havnelageret on Langkaia 1

Dagbladet.no is the second oldest newspaper network in Norway; the Brønnøysunds Avis launched only two days earlier, on March 8, 1995. The power output is Norway's most visited website with an average of 3.6 million hits per month.

History

The newspaper was founded in 1869 by Anthon Bang along with Hagbard Berner, who was the first editor at the same time. The first issue appeared on January 2nd. In Bangs subscription invitation read:

The author and translator Gunnar Larsen was from 1930 and editor from 1954 until his death editor of the newspaper.
