Dallas Quest

The Dallas Quest is one of the first graphic adventures. It was developed by James Garon for Data Soft and published in 1984 for the Atari 800 XL and the Commodore C64. There were also versions for the Apple IIe and the TRS -80 Color Computer. It was designed around the eponymous television series Dallas.

The adventure consists of various images with explanatory text. The individual commands are still text-based and must be entered from the keyboard. Thus, for example, the cattle can soothe by a small " Lullaby" is auditioning them by trumpet. An Owl is dangled before the night, be placed by their " Sunglasses". A menacing, obstructing the way Anaconda is going to, by putting them under the chin tickles ( command: " tickle anaconda " ), etc.
