Datasoft

Datasoft, Inc. was an American video game distributor, was founded on June 12, 1980 by Pat Ketchum in Chatsworth, California. In 1984 it was sold to Samuel L. Poole and Ted Hoffman, who henceforth marketed Datasoft games with the addition IntelliCreations. In August 1988, took over Software Toolworks the company and led shortly thereafter their settlement.

Datasoft published until 1983 mainly arcade ports and then about 20 more games for various home computer. Significantly to the success of Datasoft contributed adaptations in famous movies and TV shows such as Bruce Lee and The Dalles quest. But also sold by Datasoft ambitious RPG series Alternate Reality by Philip Price was very popular. In Europe, the games of U.S. gold were marketed.
