Damián Lizio

Damián Lizio (* June 30, 1989 in Florida, Buenos Aires Province) is an Argentine football player. He is currently in Bolivia with Club Bolívar under contract.

Club career

Lizio comes from the talent factory of River Plate, where he went through all the youth departments. Traded early on as a great talent, he made his debut on 10 November 2007 as a 18 year old in the game against CA Huracán in the A- team of River Plate. He came on with the score at 1-0 for its major competitors in the club, the older by almost 1 years Diego Buonanotte and yielded a strong performance. River won 2-1 and Lizio was found the next day in several Argentine newspapers as one of the best players again.

As a result he had the bad luck that Buonanotte in the course of the season became the biggest talent of the club and there was another big talent at his position in the squad River Plate with Alexis Sanchez. He graduated in the Apertura 2007, only one other use, in the 2008 season, he was indeed in the A- team squad, but was used in only the second team from River.

At the start of the 2009 season he made the jump again while in the A-team, but was shortly after the Spanish Segunda División awarded to Córdoba CF. Córdoba became aware of it during the Campeonato Sudamericano Sub-20, in which he took part for Argentina.

Immediately after arrival in Córdoba he retired in a test match a meniscus tear to which it fails probably due to an injury until November 2009.

National

With Argentina's U-20 national team, he took in January 2009 at the Campeonato Sudamericano Sub - part 20, the U-20 South American Championship. He was given the honor to wear the jersey with the number 10 in Argentina so important.

Started as favorite in the tournament, Argentina disappointed in the course of this, and took in the second group phase, only the last place. Lizio, which was actually re-nominated for Pablo Piatti, who got no release for Argentina from his club, was one of the few bright spots of the team.
