Dan Duncan

Dan Duncan ( born January 2, 1933, Shelby County ( Texas), † 28 March, 2010 River Oaks, Houston ) was an American entrepreneur.

Life

Duncan was a co-founder in 1968 of the U.S. company Enterprise Products. He was a long time Chairman of the Board and its principal shareholder. The company is active in the oil and gas industry. 1968 Enterprise Products with $ 10,000 cash and two trucks was founded on propane gas transport. 2010, the Company had 48,700 miles onshore and offshore pipelines and was one of the largest pipeline operators in the United States. The company had nearly 220 million barrels of storage capacity for natural gas and natural gas liquids.

Duncan was married and had four children. Duncan was in 2005, according to Forbes magazine's richest Americans and was represented in the list of The World's Billionaires. His fortune was recently estimated at nine billion dollars by Forbes Magazine.

Duncan was a famous big game hunter. Duncan was the owner of the Double D Ranch with big game from Africa. Duncan was a member of Safari Club International ( SCI ), a big-game hunter club. From the Safari Club International, he has received numerous awards for his trophies. In 2006 he received the SCI World Hunting Conservation Award, received the big-game hunter who hunted big game on six continents. Duncan had 407 entries in the SCI record book trophy. He killed, among others, lions, elephants, rhinos and polar bears.
