Dancing on the Ceiling is a song by Lionel Richie, Carlos Rios and Michael Frenchik of 1986, which was initially interpreted by Richie. Was produced the original version of Richie in collaboration with James Anthony Carmichael.

History

Dancing on the Ceiling was published on 19 June 1986. The song is 4:21 minutes long and was released as a second single from the album of the same name. On the B- side is Love Will Find A Way.

Music Video

The music video was filmed and directed by Stanley Donen, who led Royal Wedding also directed the film. Parts of the videos were thus released after the movie. The comedian Rodney Dangerfield and Cheech Marin have a cameo in the clip. There is also a reference to the film The Seven Year Itch, as in the video of a woman's skirt is blown up high over his head. In the plot of the video Lionel Richie visited with some friends a party. You loud parties, run up the wall and finally dancing on the ceiling.
