Daniel Alexandersson

Daniel Alexandersson (born 3 December 1978) is a Swedish football player. The younger brother of multiple national player Niclas Alexandersson was founded in 2006 with the Swedish champions IF Elfsborg. Lennart Alexandersson, the father of the two brothers, was active in the 1970s as a professional.

Career

Alexandersson came over Vessigebro BK and Falkenberg FF to Halmstad BK, where he debuted in the first team in 1998. In 2000 he was awarded for some time to Denmark Viborg FF, but returned to Sweden to continue his career at Falkenberg FF. In 2002 he went to the club on the Superettan, where he was able to achieve in 2003 eleven goals in the season.

IF Elfsborg took Alexandersson, 2004 in the Allsvenskan. In his debut season he was still a reserve player and stood in only six games in the starting XI. From the season 2005 he was able to establish himself in the team and scored seven goals this season. With four goals in 25 games he wore in the 2006 at the fifth Swedish championship in the club's history of IF Elfsborg. The following spring he was also on the inaugural Supercupen, which was won after a goal by James Keene with a 1-0 success against the cup winners Helsingborgs IF.

On 12 December 2007, he signed a three year contract with the reigning champions IFK Göteborg, where his brother Niclas already under contract. In March, he worked as a substitute with the Supercupen and a 3-1 victory over Kalmar FF he could enter a second time into the winners' list. In IFK he could win, among others due to injury a regular place, and came in two years to 21 league operations, said he was only six times in the starting lineup. Therefore, he left the club and returned in January 2010 one more time to Falkenberg FF back to play for the club in the Superettan.

In the second division season 2010 Alexandersson was long stretches of game time team regular at FFF, but was slowed by minor injuries. With ten goals this season he was the best scorer internal club before Erik Johansson and Stefan Rodevag and thus one of the guarantees that the club placed in the middle table space.

In the spring of 2011 Daniel Alexandersson was forced to end his pro career early because despite surgeries and treatments the pain in the groin area, caused by an injury, were not better. Since then he has worked in the family business, where machines are sold to the agricultural use.
