Daniel Fernández Torres

Daniel Fernández Torres ( * April 27, 1964 in Chicago) is an American priest and former bishop of Arecibo.

Life

Daniel Fernández Torres received on 7 January 1995, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him auxiliary bishop on 14 February 2007 in San Juan de Puerto Rico, and Titular Bishop of Sufes.

The Archbishop of San Juan de Puerto Rico, Roberto Octavio González Nieves, OFM, gave him on 21 April of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Were the co-consecrators Iñaki Mallona Txertudi CP, Bishop of Arecibo, and Ulises Aurelio Casiano Vargas, Bishop of Mayagüez.

On 24 September 2010 he was appointed Bishop of Arecibo.
