Daniel Giacomino

Oscar Daniel Giacomino ( born June 28, 1964 in San Francisco) is an Argentine politician. He was between 2007 and 2011 mayor of the city of Córdoba.

Giacomino belonged to during his time as mayor of the Partido Nuevo, but since 2011 Member of Parliament for the Frente para la Victoria in the Argentine National Congress.

Life

Giacomino studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba ( UNC) and graduated with the title of licentiate from. In the university, he began in 1986 as a delegate to the faculty his political career. In 1987 he was student representative in the entire Trat UNC and 1990, Director of the Secretariat for student welfare. Between 1992 and 2003 he was director of the Institute for Blood derivatives of UNC.

In 2003 he was elected to the formula with Luis Juez Vice Mayor of Córdoba. On the occasion of his election as deputies for the PN in the Argentine Parliament, he resigned from this post in 2005.

In 2007 he was set up by the Partido Nuevo succeeding his party colleague Juez for mayor. He won the election with 42 percent of the vote clearly and entered on 10 December of the year to the Office.

In the 2011 general election he succeeded on the list of the Frente para la Victoria to the collection in the Argentine Congress.
