Daniel Guzmán

Daniel Guzmán Castañeda ( born December 31, 1965 in Guadalajara, Jalisco ) is a Mexican football coach and former football player at the position of the striker, who in February 2007 in the Hall of Fame of the State of Jalisco ( Orig: Salón de la Fama del estado de Jalisco ) was added.

Biography

Also known by the nickname El Travieso Guzmán began his professional career in 1986 in the ranks of the Leones Negros de la UdeG for which he played until 1991. After ending his playing career in 1999 in the service of CF Pachuca, he held the post of coach. In this capacity, he began his career at Atlético Cihuatlán in the Segunda División third-rate, before he returned to his original club and the newly formed team of Bachilleres UdeG supervised in the second-class La Liga 'A'. División its first outing in the Primera he had in the 2002/03 season, when he took over the CD Guadalajara. Since summer 2009 he is responsible for the Tigres de la UANL, where he was released shortly in March 2010 and set only two days later.

Hall of Fame Jalisco

In recognition of his services to the sport in Jalisco Guzmán was recorded in February 2007 in the Salón de la Fama del estado de Jalisco. It is believed that this decision was (also) brought about by the fact that Guzmán worked for all four major teams from Guadalajara during his career as player and coach: he played for the Leones Negros, Chivas and Atlas and coached the same clubs plus the Tecos (further details in the box).
