Daniel Lisulo

Daniel Muchiwa Lisulo (December 6, 1930 in Mongu, † August 21, 2000 in Johannesburg, South Africa ) was a Zambian politician.

After studying law at Loyola College, Madras University, he worked as a lawyer. After the independence of Zambia in 1964, he was appointed director of the Bank of Zambia and held that office until his election as a member of the National Assembly in 1977. This he belonged until 1983.

1978 President Kenneth Kaunda appointed him first as Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General, before he was appointed as the successor of Mainza Chona as Prime Minister on 15 June 1978. On February 18, 1981, he was succeeded in this office by Nalumino Mundia. After that, he was for some time a member of the Central Committee of the Unity Party " United National Independence Party " ( UNIP ).

Most recently he worked as a lawyer.
